The Barcelona Facial Anatomy Lab Oculoplastic Surgical Skills Edition 2026 (BFAL )™️ is an intensive hands-on course using anatomical specimens from cryopreserved cadavers.
Aimed at and designed for medical specialists and residents in training who are interested in honing their skills in oculoplastic surgery (ophthalmologists, maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, and dermatologists).
The program consists of two days of training, with theoretical and practical sessions and hands-on training at the workbench. Each participant works under individual supervision, allowing for close, detailed, and completely personalized surgical guidance.
The course has a teaching team made up of surgeons from various specialtieswith extensive experience, active clinical practice, and national and international teaching experience.

FACIAL ANATOMY LAB FOCUSED ON REAL SURGICAL DECISIONS IN OCULOPLASTIC SURGERY
Training activity carried out in a university dissection room, in an academic setting, in accordance with current European regulations on body donation for teaching purposes and the bioethical principles applicable to medical training.

Preferably, practical training is conducted on cryopreserved specimens, as they allow for greater anatomical and tissue fidelity, facilitating a training experience that more closely resembles actual surgical conditions.

Participants will be provided with all the personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for anatomical dissection activities, including, but not limited to: surgical gown or clothing, gloves, mask, or other protective items as indicated by the laboratory. All protective equipment is included and provided by the organization. Final operational instructions will be communicated to participants before the start of the course.
