It offers an immersive training experience that allows participants to integrate clinical and surgical knowledge in a real-world setting. The training is led by Dr. Sánchez España, an oculoplastic surgeon with extensive experience in functional and cosmetic surgery of the periocular region.
The program includes access to clinical consultations, preoperative assessment sessions, oculoplastic surgery operating rooms, and direct observation of procedures at leading centers in Barcelona.
The cases presented cover a wide range of conditions and techniques, including: eyebrow lifts, cosmetic and functional blepharoplasty,eyelid ptosis,eyelid malpositions (entropion, ectropion, eyelid retraction),orbital surgery,management of the anophthalmic cavity, andthe lacrimal system (including DCR ), among others. Participants will be able to experience firsthand the actual workflow of a specialized practice, attend surgical procedures, and understand clinical decision-making in real time, always under direct supervision with a close, personalized, and practice-oriented approach.
Options: 1 week (minimum required for SEAFORMEC accreditation: 40 credits), renewable on a weekly basis, maximum 3 weeks

Intended for residents and specialists in ophthalmology and related surgical specialties (plastic surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, dermatologists, among others) who are interested in expanding their knowledge of oculoplastic surgery (eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system).
